Sales Manager Job Description

We are looking for a Sales Manager to build and run the BondMason sales and business development function, starting immediately.

The Role

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join the team and support the growth of BondMason.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create and drive the sales team at BondMason as we continue to develop the proposition into new areas, including through partnerships. There is scope for the role to become the Sales Director in a short period of time based on the continued growth of the company and success of the sales function. 

This is a full-time role based in Harpenden. The candidate is likely to have 4-8+ years post graduate experience in sales and business development within financial services. Ideally with experience of working with IFAs, Wealth Managers and other channel partners.  

Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for creating and leading the sales function by:

  • Adapting the value proposition for different channels and audiences
  • Managing the sales pipeline, including identifying opportunities for new partnerships and channels, contacting and meeting prospective partners, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Recruiting one to two Sales Executives to support the sales function and designing their remuneration structure with the CEO
  • Appointing sales agents (as may appropriate) to assist with business development and growth

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • have a degree or strong A-Level grades including maths or science subject
  • have a strong track record of winning new business and closing sales
  • have strong numeracy skills, and be proficient in Excel
  • have a “Can do” attitude 
  • have problem solving skills and a quick learner
  • be a good communicator
  • be diligent, with excellent attention to detail
  • be well organised and good at prioritising tasks
  • be personable and enjoy working in a team
